[44] How To Promote Affiliate Products On Google Adwords

Google Adwords represents a great way to gain relevant ads into your website. The good thing about it is that it allows you to earn income even if you don’t have any products of your own. The best part? You don’t need to do any of the promotion as all of it is taken care of by Google itself.
How it works
You will firstly need to sign up for one or more affiliate programs and get the respective codes for these. The best option would be to work through a single banner or umbrella which will bring in plenty of affiliate programs all under a single roof. This way you can undertake on selling as many affiliate products as you can and start on the marketing efforts. The good thing about Adwords is that even if you have limited funds you can do well. It’s because Google enables you to plan out your budget and thus keep costs low as you want it. You just need to pay an initial amount which is fairly reasonable. Also, another great thing about Adwords is that you don’t need to do any promotion by yourself. Everything is done by Google. They have their own robust promotional package through which you can easily convince customers to buy your products online.
Getting started
You will need to register for a Google Adwords account. All you need to do is verify your own email ID in order to start churning out ads for the products. You will then receive a confirmation from Google saying your application has been accepted.
Diversification
With Google’s Adwords you will be able to diversify your market base very easily. You can try out different ads as per your interests. You can select ads as per the target market of choice. The ultimate objective of your affiliate program is to get people to click on your affiliate ad link. To do this, you need to ensure that the text on the link does not give away the fact that you’re redirecting clients to another site. You need to camouflage this as effectively as you can.
Budget constraints
With Google’s Adwords it is possible for you to set your initial pricing to as low as even 1 cent for each click. However, this might rob you of sales in the long term. Instead you could opt for pricing packages like 5 or 10 cents for each click. You can even mention the amount you can afford to pay out each day. You can even avail options to restrict your ads click throughs to just 3 per day. When you are starting out it is sensible to start out small. So initially a 2-5 dollar per day is good enough amount.
The implementation
Once you have decided on the pricing and made payment, Google will take over. It will place all of your ads on all relevant search engine results. It will also display these ads on sites which have Adsense. If anyone is searching for EBay, then too your ads will get displayed on the search engines online. The concept of placing your ads under relevant banners and platforms is to get access to warm markets which are already interested in your product. This in turn increases your chances at getting more click throughs and hence more sales.
Pitfalls to avoid
Many novice affiliate marketers have used Google Adwords only to realize that the commission they are earning is far lesser than the amount they have invested. This can be a de-motivating factor for many. Therefore, the best approach is to start out small and then do plenty of research and study as you go along. You also need to learn from the mistakes made by other affiliate marketers. That way you don’t have to reinvent the wheel again.
Visibility
One great thing about using Google’s Adwords to promote your affiliate products, is that it gives you great visibility. You can almost instantly get your affiliate links into Google’s first page. All this without even having your own website! But yes, it can be a little expensive in the beginning. However, like it has been mentioned earlier, it pays to be modest and start out small initially. Supplement your promotional efforts with lots of research.

[45] Google Finally Dropped The Bombshell On Affiliate Marketers.

Google finally dropped the bombshell on affiliate marketers. Their was a lot of speculation in the affiliate marketing community if they would actually go through with it. Well, they finally did.
In case some of you reading this don’t know what I’m talking about; Google no longer allows affiliates using adwords to send traffic directly to the merchants website. Affiliates will now have to send traffic to their own sites first. This is going to make a lot of affiliates angry because now they have to go through the extra work of creating web pages.
Personally, I welcome the change. Affiliates who don’t want to take the time to set up their own web pages will stop using adwords. This in turn will make keyword cost cheaper and get your google ads a higher position.
Some people thought that Google would be losing money as a result of the new rule. I don’t think so. The number of Google ads will decrease as some affiliate marketers leave, but the ads that remain will probably get clicked on more often than they did in the past. Which means more traffic for those webmasters..
One of the main reasons Google implemented the changes is so their adword results were more relevant. It doesn’t make much sense for each ad to point to the same website from a searchers perspective. But, this could backfire on Google. Affiliates could simply create their own web pages and send visitors to the same site anyways.
I’ve been using adwords for about two years now and its interesting to see how things change as time rolls on.

[42] Can Google Adsense Help My Affiliate Programs?

If you are looking for business opportunities, affiliate programs are all the rage today. Simply typing affiliate programs into any search engine will yield a multitude of results with links to websites offering various affiliate programs, promising anything from instant riches to long time financial security. Part of the allure of affiliate programs is that unlike running a business of your own, with an affiliate business you don’t have to deal with things like inventory, storage, packing, shipping, complaints, returns, phone calls, emails, checks or credit cards. In fact, your only responsibility is to direct people to your affiliate site through your affiliate link.
While not having to deal with the aforementioned things, and at the same time being able to earn commissions as high as 75% may sound alluring, and no doubt it should, the reality is more times then not like anything in life it takes time to build your affiliate business to the point where it begins to make you money. In the mean time you must deal with expenses that may stem from advertising, hosting your own website, monthly affiliate fees, etc. Anyway to offset these expenses is welcome!
Google AdSense Not only offers you this opportunity but many affiliate based businesses rely on Google AdSense for a large chunk of their monthly commissions! What Google AdSense allows you to do is to display Google ads on your website that are relevant to the content on your website without distracting from it. When people click on a Google AdSense ad that’s on your website you earn a commission. The program is free to join and also offers other ways to earn additional income as we’ll. You can even think of it as an additional affiliate program earning additional money for you that you would otherwise have never seen!
The fact is, most people who visit your affiliate website will not buy from you. They will simply look around and then leave. Of the ones that do end up buying they will most likely visit your website several times before making a buying decision. In fact it will take an average of 7-12 times for a person to visit your website before they do buy. That is because people want to weigh all of their options. They want to see what other business opportunities or affiliate programs are available to them by visiting other websites, and then they need time to consider which one to go with. If someone is going to visit your website and then leave without buying, wouldn’t you rather that they leave by clicking on a link that you will earn a guaranteed commission on?
Do you see why Google AdSense will always be a very important part of your affiliate business? Running an affiliate business is, like anything else in life, a numbers game. Google AdSense offers you the opportunity to profit off of the numbers of people who will never buy from you, (the vast majority), as well as enable you to get additional revenue from the ones that will eventually buy from you! I assume your desire is to make as much money as you possibly can from an affiliate business of your own? If that is the case then you cannot afford, not to have Google AdSense on your affiliate website!

[43] Affiliate Marketing With Google Adwords

The quickest way to generate targeted traffic and start earning commissions with an affiliate marketing business is to use google adwords. One doesn't even need a website of their own to make money online using adwords. Traffic can be sent directly to an affiliate link. Even though this is the easiest way to make money online I recommend those who advertise on google send traffic to their own website first for a couple of reasons. First of all traffic sent to a information pre sell site tends to provide much higher sales conversions than just using direct affiliate links.
Secondly google has recently tightened its quality scoring of websites making the cost per click skyrocket for many who were sending traffic to direct links. This has priced many affiliate marketers out of using adwords and is widely known as the "google slap". I've found a good way to improve quality scores and lower cost per click is to write topical blogs and send adwords traffic to them. The blogs can have the affiliate links included in the text. For best results the text links should be the same or related to the keywords bidded on in an adwords campaign.
A critical part of adwords success is the ad itself. The ad needs to have a high clickthrough rate to recieve a lower cost per click. An ad should have keywords that the advertiser is bidding on included in the title. Many ads should be created and tested.
The ads that have low clickthrough rates meaning usually below 1 percent should be deleted. One technique that can be used is dynamic keyword insertion. With dynamic keyword insertion google will put the keywords in the title of an ad automatically. To use dynamic keyword insertion in place of the title one must put {keyword:default}. In place of default a keyword or phrase should be used in case a keyword phrase bidded on is too long for google to automatically insert the keyword.
Keywords are another important consideration in using google adwords. The better keywords to bid on are usually specific lower traffic words rather than the higher traffic general terms. For example a keyword like "music" will not convert to sales as well as words like specific songs or artists names. The more closely the keywords are related to the topic of the website the better. Just like ads underperforming keywords with low clickthrough rates should also be deleted and new keywords periodically tested.
Where many go wrong with adwords is they set up an ad campaign and never go back to make changes. In order to be successful using adwords an affiliate marketer must continually make adjustments to fine tune their campaigns. This means they must constantly be testing new ads and keywords and deleting underperformers. If one does this consistently an adwords campaign is likely to cost much less and be more profitable.

[39] When Affiliate Programs Met Google Adsense

Are you a webmaster who needs funds to keep your website running? Or is your website the only way for you to earn income? Whichever you are, for as long as you are a webmaster or a web publisher and you need cash, affiliate marketing may work well for you. With affiliate marketing, you may get a lot of cash pouring into your bank account easily. And if your website is rich in great contents and you want to earn more profit, why not get into the Google Adsense program as well? Why Affiliate Marketing?Well, simply because affiliate marketing is the easiest and probably the best way to earn profits online, unless otherwise you are a businessman and would rather sell your own products online than advertise other businessman's products on your site. But even online retailers can benefit from affiliate marketing programs, because affiliate marketing actually works for merchants as well as it works for the affiliates.Affiliate marketing, simply said, is a relationship or agreement made between two websites, with one site being the merchant's website and the other being the affiliate's site. In the relationship, the affiliate agrees to let the merchant advertise his products on the affiliate's site. The merchant, on the other hand, would agree to pay the affiliate in whatever method they have agreed into. This would generally mean easy income for the affiliate, as he would do nothing but place the retailer's ad on his site. This would also be very beneficial for the merchant, as getting affiliates to advertise their products would be a lot more affordable than hiring an advertising firm to promote their products. There are a variety of methods on how the merchant would compensate the affiliate for his services, and for the webmaster, these methods simply translates to the method by which he would earn easy cash. Among the more common methods of compensation are the pay-per-click method, the pay-per-lead method, and the pay-per-sale method. The pay-per-click method is the method most preferred by affiliates, for their site's visitor would only have to visit the advertiser's site for them to gain money. The other two methods, on the other hand, are better preferred by merchants, as they would only have to compensate you if your visitor becomes one of their registrants or if the visitor would actually buy their products. Getting much profit on affiliate marketing programs, however, does not depend so much on the compensation method is it does on the traffic generated by your site. A website that can attract more visitors would generally have the greater chance of profiting in affiliate marketing programs. What about Google Adsense?Google Adsense is actually some sort of an affiliate marketing program. In Google Adsense, Google act as the intermediary between the affiliates and the merchants. The merchant, or the advertiser, would simply sign up with Google and provide the latter with text ads pertaining to their products. These ads, which is actually a link to the advertisers' website, would then appear on Google searches as well as on the websites owned by the affiliates, or by those webmasters who have signed up with the Google Adsense program. While one can find a lot of similarities between Google Adsense and other affiliate marketing programs, you can also see a lot of differences. In Google Adsense, all the webmaster has to do is place a code on his website and Google takes care of the rest. The ads that Google would place on your site would generally be relevant to the content of your site. This would be advantageous both for you and for the advertiser, as the visitors of your site would more or less be actually interested with the products being advertised. The Google Adsense program compensates the affiliate in a pay-per-click basis. The advertisers would pay Google a certain amount each time their ad on your site is clicked and Google would then forward this amount to you through checks, although only after Google have deducted their share of the amount. Google Adsense checks are usually delivered monthly. Also, the Google Adsense program provides webmasters with a tracking tool that allows you to monitor the earnings you actually get from a certain ad.So, where do all of these lead us to?Where else but to profits, profits and even more profits! Affiliate marketing programs and the Google Adsense program simply work, whether you are the merchant or the affiliate. For the merchant's side, a lot of money can be saved if advertising effort is concentrated on affiliate marketing rather than on dealing with advertising firms. For the webmaster, you can easily gain a lot of profits just by doing what you do best, and that is by creating websites. And if you combine all your profits from both the Google Adsense program and other affiliate marketing programs, it would surely convert to a large amount of cash.Source: Free ArticlesAbout the AuthorMake sure you're promoting only products that work and sell. [41] Affiliate Marketing With Google Adwords

One of the best kept secrets in today's affiliate marketing world is the pay per click advertising version with Google AdWords. Adwords allows advertisers to place small ads on websites or on Google.com search result pages. You probably noticed the little advertisements to the right on Google.com.In Affiliate Marketing you are promoting 3rd party products and in return you earn a share of a sale generated from your marketing efforts. We all have seen those little Amazon.com banners on different websites. These would be a very simple form of affiliate marketing. More sophisticated versions are complete stores build around Amazon.com or based on data feeds from other vendors. In some cases the affiliate has to build his own website and store - in others there are white label website templates or pages available for the affiliate to work with. Only when it comes to the actual sale the customer is redirected to the 3rd party vendor who carries the actual product. Not a new variant but a not very well-known version of affiliate marketing is the promotion of affiliate product links/websites via Google AdWords. The power of advertising on Google.com is combined with the affiliate link. The affiliate partner does not need a website anymore, he directly links the customer to the 3rd party. With Google AdWords very targeted marketing is possible and well-written ads equipped with the right keywords can bring in big bucks. All the affiliate has to do is to figure out which keywords are affordable to promote. And that's where secret to success is. Everyone can buy the expensive and obvious keywords to promote products but when it comes to affiliate success via PPC advertising (aka Google AdWords) the inexperienced marketing folks are being weeded out or are left with big holes in their pockets. Finding the right combination of keywords, target group, ad copy is the critical piece of the puzzle.Overall - affiliate marketing via PPC on Google or via Overture (competitor of Google AdWords) can be very lucrative and quite a few people are making a living of it. It sounds easy to do but to break into this field a new affiliate needs a lot of luck, big bucks or patience and knowledge.Published At: Isnare Free Articles Directory http://www.isnare.com/Permanent Link: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=6428&ca=Marketing

[37] Using AdWords to Promote Your Affiliate Links - What is the Policy?

There have been many rumors about using AdWords to promote your affiliate links. Some people say that it is not allowed, and others say that it is. Some say that there is a specific way to do it, and others say that using AdWords to promote your affiliate links is no different from any other AdWords campaign you would run for your own products or services. Some say it works, others say it doesn't. Are you ready to hear the truth? The truth is that it is perfectly acceptable using AdWords to promote your affiliate links. That information comes straight from Google AdWords policy. Google only displays one ad per search query for each top-level domain, however. What this means is that if two affiliates are using AdWords to promote your affiliate links, and they are both using the same keywords in their advertising campaigns, only one ad will appear on the page when a person searches for those keywords. This means that you must set yourself apart from the other affiliates when using AdWords to promote your affiliate links. The best way to do this is to construct a content site, where your affiliate links are used in the content, and banner ads and text ads are also used on the site for the affiliate programs that are related to the topic of your site. Instead of using AdWords to promote your affiliate links, use AdWords to promote your site, using keywords that are specific to the affiliate programs that you are trying to sell.If you do not have your own website, and you have no intention of getting one, you can still set yourself apart from the competition by bidding high on the keywords that you have chosen when using AdWords to promote your affiliate links. You will need to literally outbid the competition - and you should know that this can get expensive, depending on what keywords you are using. See what the other affiliates are using in the text of their ads, and try to make your ads better. The more often your ad is clicked on, the more often it will appear - no matter what you are paying for the keywords.Another option is to use keywords that your competitors are not using at all. These may be less popular keywords, but if you use the keyword selection tools provided by Google, you will be able to determine which alternate keywords will get you the best results. Don't be afraid to use the alternate keywords, as opposed to the most popular keywords - keep in mind that you only pay for the clicks you receive. If you find that you aren't getting any clicks at all for the alternate keywords you have chosen, try different keywords.Google offers quite a bit of information to advertisers who use AdWords to promote their affiliate links. The best way to succeed with AdWords is to read the information that is provided. Learn as much as you possibly can from that information. The more you know, the better you will do. There are also a variety of ebooks available that will give you additional information about profiting from AdWords. Consider purchasing one of these products, and again, read through the information and learn as much as you possibly can.Source: Free ArticlesAbout the AuthorJason is a successful Internet Marketer, and posts regularly on http://www.AdventuresInIM.com. [36] Where's The Money? Adsense vs. Affiliate Programs ? who you chose

The main question I get from my clients when coaching them on building content sites is wether they should use Adsense or affiliate programs. It's a great question, and one that I haven't seen addressed often. Hopefully this information will help you in making your decision. My rule of thumb is always go where the money is, but in making the decision to use Adsense or affiliate programs, there are a few things you should look at. Let's take a look at those things right now, so you know exactly what you should be putting on your site. Google Adsense or affiliate programs.First, it will depend on your niche. If there is an affiliate program for your niche that converts well and pays well, then you should take the affiliate program route. I'm sure you would rather make dollars than you would cents, so using an affiliate program in this situation would be your best bet. However, if there isn't an affiliate program, using a pay-per-click service such as Google Adsense will at least allow you to earn a little money from your content site. This leads to another question though. How do you tell if the affiliate program you are looking at is a good one or not?The answer to that question will take some research, but will be well worth your time. The first thing to do is to contact the site owner or affiliate manager and ask what the average conversion rate is for the affiliate program. You could also ask if they have any affiliates that would be willing to email you their experiences with the product. Once you have the answer to that question, visit a few affiliate marketing forums and ask if anyone has promoted the program before or if they have any experience with the owner or affiliate manager of the site. Usually if it's a bad program, many people will tell you about it. Now, if you don't find any affiliate programs for your niche, then I would use Google Adsense or any of the other programs like it. Always check though to make sure you can't make more money from something else. You don't want to be making pennies on a site you could be making dollars from. Most of the time Google Adsense just pays pennies per click. So if you got 100 clicks on your Adsense ad, and made say $5, but you got 100 clicks on an affiliate link and made $50, wouldn't it make more send to use the affiliate link on your site?Using this as a guide will help you, but you still must test and track what works best for your site. You could put Adsense ads on your site for a few weeks, and then replace them with affiliate links for a few weeks. See what does better, and use the one that makes you more money. Just remember to keep testing and tracking!Source: Free ArticlesAbout the AuthorLiz Tomey runs a blog that educates visitors about the different ways of making money through affiliate marketing. [34] The Traffic Received At The Google Adsense

Keen Google AdSense affiliates will quickly notice that not all traffic they receive at their AdSense site is click-happy traffic. There will be times when a very high percentage of the traffic received at the Google affiliate site will end up clicking on the AdSense ads displayed. There will be other times when hardly a soul will click on any of the ads.Closer examination will usually reveal a fascinating and yet obvious fact. And that is the more tightly targeted the traffic, the more clicks you will tend to receive. This simply means that it is very possible to receive a fraction of the traffic that another site receives, but simply because of how tightly targeted your traffic is, you could easily end up receiving many more clicks and much higher Adsense earnings.for more details www.adsense-income-exposed.com. There are even cases where the other site may have three or four times the kind of traffic that your site has and yet you will enjoy more clicks and much higher Adsense earnings. This clearly illustrates the fact that many webmasters and blog owners quite often end up receiving a large percentage of curious rather than interested visitors. In a way this cannot be avoided because most search terms will hardly produce results that are anywhere near 100 per cent accurate. In fact search results and the improvement of search results is at the center of the current fierce and ongoing battle between leading search engines. While curiosity is a powerful marketing tool that can be used to get visitors to click more at your Google affiliate Adsense ads ads (see other article by this author- direct to webcontent blog) this strategy will hardly work when a vast majority of the visitors you attract to your site are not really interested in the subject at hand. Yet many webmasters keen on receiving high traffic for the sake of high traffic have often used tactics that tend to trick people to make their way to their sites. This strategy hardly makes sense and the Google affiliate Adsense program illustrates this fact rather brutally. So how does a Google affiliate site attract highly targeted traffic? It is important that before even embarking on the mission of attracting targeted traffic, that you ensure that your site or blog is tightly targeted at a certain audience and that your content clearly reflects this. This is the only way that you will be able to attract the sort of Adsense ads that will be of interest to your visitors. A common mistake with many is to have a site that is just too general which also attracts Adsense ads that are too general. One of the most effective ways of ensuring or guaranteeing targeted traffic to your site or blog is to give your visitors a sneak preview of your contents. Let them read sample articles of what they will find at your site. The way to do this is to distribute your articles to high traffic article directories and sites. These sites will publish your articles free and will also include your resource box at the bottom which will give details about you complete with the url to your site or blog. Some folks will read your article and not visit your site. Which is okay because what should really matter to you is receiving targeted traffic. like as www.instant-adsense-dollars.com. Actually only a small fraction of the people who read your article will end up at your site, but the good news is that the people who do end up at your site will be very interested in what you have to offer and will tend to spend a long time at your site. This is the sort of traffic that any webmaster or blog owner would easily kill for.Of course there are other factors that are important for you to achieve success here. For example your content will have to be very well written. This need not be expensive if you are hiring an online writer as we have various low cost options that will give you quality content.Whatever you need to do will be well worth the effort because using this method, the visitors whom you end up with at your site will tend to continually and perpetually click at your Adsense ads. Cuasing your Adsense earnings to rise steeply. Which is exactly what you want to happen. But then there is plenty more you can do to increase your volume of visitors and ultimately the clicks at your sites and your Adsense revenuesource article : http://www.articlesbase.com/

[31] How Google Affiliate Will Change the World

Amazon, watch out. Earlier today, Google launched an affiliate ad network. Or, rather, it rebranded Performics, the affiliate ad network that came along with its purchase of DoubleClick, as the "Google Affiliate Network." As with other affiliate networks such as Amazon's, participating Website publishers get paid a fee for each referral that results in a sale. Existing advertisers include Bank of America, Barnes & Noble, Citi, Target, and Verizon.
Google constantly looking for ways to improve AdSense by developing and supporting features which drive the best monetization results for our publishers. Sometimes, this requires retiring existing features so they can focus our efforts on the ones that will be most effective in the long term. For this reason, they will be retiring the AdSense Referrals program during the last week of August.
Google acquired the DoubleClick Performics Affiliate operations in March 2008. Together, they're creating new opportunities for monetization, expansion, and innovation in affiliate marketing.
Performics was founded as the first full-service affiliate network in 1998 and was acquired by DoubleClick in 2004. Today Performics Affiliate operates as Google Affiliate Network and remains committed to delivering affiliate channel growth for advertisers and publishers
As part of the integration of DoubleClick, the DoubleClick Performics Affiliate Network will now operate as the Google Affiliate Network for advertisers targeting users located in the United States. Similar to the AdSense Referrals program, the Google Affiliate Network enables publishers to apply for advertiser programs and get paid based on advertiser-defined actions instead of clicks or impressions
As we can see, most of the affiliate programs like ClickBank, Comission Junctions and Linkshare still control the arena of affiliate world. But soon to be leader, Google Affiliate will replace all the system. Most of the Internet User will still trust Google rather than other affiliate program.
Google Do No Evil seems to be controlling every inch of web space

[30] Google Adsense Profits Mixed In With Affiliate Marketing

Are you a webmaster who needs funds to keep your website running? Or is your website the only way for you to earn income? Whichever you are, for as long as you are a webmaster or a web publisher and you need cash, affiliate marketing may work well for you. With affiliate marketing, you may get a lot of cash pouring into your bank account easily. And if your website is rich in great contents and you want to earn more profit, why not get into the Google Adsense program as well? Why Affiliate Marketing?Well, simply because affiliate marketing is the easiest and probably the best way to earn profits online, unless otherwise you are a businessman and would rather sell your own products online than advertise other businessman’s products on your site. But even online retailers can benefit from affiliate marketing programs, because affiliate marketing actually works for merchants as well as it works for the affiliates.Affiliate marketing, simply said, is a relationship or agreement made between two websites, with one site being the merchant’s website and the other being the affiliate’s site. In the relationship, the affiliate agrees to let the merchant advertise his products on the affiliate’s site. The merchant, on the other hand, would agree to pay the affiliate in whatever method they have agreed into. This would generally mean easy income for the affiliate, as he would do nothing but place the retailer’s ad on his site. The pay-per-click method is the method most preferred by affiliates, for their site’s visitor would only have to visit the advertiser’s site for them to gain money. These ads, which is actually a link to the advertiser’s website, would then appear on Google searches as well as on the websites owned by the affiliates, or by those webmasters who have signed up with the Google Adsense program. For the merchant’s side, a lot of money can be saved if advertising effort is concentrated on affiliate marketing rather than on dealing with advertising firms. For the webmaster, you can easily gain a lot of profits just by doing what you do best, and that is by creating websites. And if you combine all your profits from both the Google Adsense program and other affiliate marketing programs, it would surely convert to a large amount of cash.By: Gary McCaffreyArticle Directory: http://www.articledashboard.comGary McCaffrey is a professional internet marketer and has been in the internet industry since 1997. [26] SEO Your Blog

If you own a blog but are struggling with getting traffic without having to constantly promote and market it then my advice is to improve your search engine optimization (SEO). There a lot of very contested arguments on the various variable that are in SEO, but you will find most of the experts agree on two things: In order to become well optimized you must--Have reputable back links, these can either be reciprocal or one way.-You will also need to optimize your blog content to target certain keyword phrases. The initial part of all SEO tactics has to be the research of your keywords. You need to come to the conclusion of which keywords will be able to get you the most visitors compared with how much work will need to be applied to get there. Google have their own keyword tool to tell you how many searches per month each keyword phrase receives, alternatively there is a program called word tracker that does a similar job but on a daily search count. It is widely believed that word tracker is in fact more accurate than Google. You can use both of these applications and search for a keyword phrase using synopsis, this will supply you with many choices for your keyword. You will then have to look over the search results in the search engines to determine what competition each keyword has (ie is the competition page ranked highly). You now have to apply the on page SEO, to do this you can add your keyword phrases to your title and headers for each designated page. The next step would be to edit your blog posts, the reason you need to do this is because you want to include your keywords within your article, always try to make it look as natural as possible because search engine spiders are getting more and cleverer in hunting out spam articles. I would advise you have a 1-4% keyword density (base it on 1 keyword phrase for every 100 words). The final step, after doing your on page SEO is to do your off-page. This is by far the most important factor in ranking highly in search engines. You need to submit links to various directories, including your keyword phrase in the link titles. Write articles on various article website such as ezine, if you provide quality content for them they will in turn provide you with a quality back link (search engines love ezine articles). Another good way to get back links is to swap links with other blogs, these sorts of back links are not as effective as one-way links but it all adds a bit of power to your blogs engine.Ok, Lets Recap:SEO is extremely important to the success of you blog, I highly recommend following a SEO Guide. The good thing about having a well written blog is that if you got to a stage where you wanted to try something different you could possibly go down the freelance writing route and use your blog as the example of your work. If you need any advise on How to become a freelance writer simply read my articles.Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Conners_Hall_Brown

[24] 7 SEO Tips For Your WordPress Blog

There are millions of WordPress blogs on the internet, but the majority of them are not optimized for the search engines. This article explains 7 ways that you can make your WordPress blog more search engine friendly.
1. Make sure that your permalinks are set up optimally for SEO - whenever you publish a blog post it will have a permanent URL known as a "permalink". By default the WordPress permalink setting is not optimal but you can easily edit this by clicking on the Settings->Permalinks menu in the WordPress dashboard and then use a custom setting such as yourdomainname.com/category/postname. This will mean that your blog post category and title will appear in the URL rather than a number.
2. Install the All in One SEO Pack (or a another similar plugin) - the All in One SEO Pack plugin allows you to add a custom title, meta description and keyword tags for your home page and blog posts.
3. Optimize each blog post for a low competition long tail keyword phrase - before you make a blog post take some time to do a little keyword research. Visit the Google AdWords Keyword tool and use this to find a long tail keyword phrase that has a low amount of competition. Ideally this phrase will have just a few hundred monthly searches rather than a few thousand monthly searches. Use a different keyword phrase for every blog post that you make and put the keyword phrase in the blog post title and 2-3 times throughout the post.
4. Use Social Bookmarking services to bookmark each blog post - whenever you post to your blog use a social bookmarking service e.g. Digg or StumbleUpon. There are also services such as OnlyWire and SocialMarker that will let you submit your site to multiple bookmarking services at the same time. Social bookmarking can get you additional traffic to your blog and give you a backlink to your blog post.
5. Optimize the home page of your blog - it is normal for the home page of your blog to get more traffic then any of the other pages. You can increase the number of visitors even more by optimizing your home page. Pick 1-2 keyword phrases for your home page using a keyword research tool such as the Google AdWords keyword tool and choose one or two phrases that are related to your niche. Ideally these phrases should get a few thousand searches per month and the competition shouldn't be too tough. Ensure that you include these keyword phrases are mentioned in the TITLE tag, meta description and throughout the permanent content of your blog home page.
6. Install the Google XML Sitemaps plugin - this won't increase your search engine rank, but having a sitemap will help to ensure that the search engines index all the posts and pages of your blog. You can use the Google XML Sitemaps plugin to create a sitemap for your blog.
7.Build links to your blog - building links back to your website is the surest way to improve your ranking in the search engines. If you ignore this it will be very difficult to get a good level of visitors from the search engines. You can build links using article marketing, directory submission, forum posting, commenting on other blogs, press releases, link exchange and social bookmarking.

[21] Blog Titles - 3 Tips

Blog titles are one of the most important aspects of a blog, but often times are not given the importance that they deserve. As a professional blogger, I always tell new bloggers not to underestimate the significance of blog titles. It is the first thing a reader sees when they visit your site and will many times will determine if they stay and keep reading or leave. I often relate it to a newspaper headline, if the headline captures you will buy the paper, if not you will keep walking. Here are three tips to help you crafty killer blogger titles that will prompt that visitor to keep reading.
Create a purpose driven title. The headline will tell the reader what is to come and why they should read. By crafting this up front it will also help keep you focused.
It is also important to be descriptive and clear. For example, if my headline reads, "How to promote your blog," you know exactly what that post will be about. This is a solid headline because it is very clear, and if your visitor is interested in that they will read through. However, if you combine this with my next tip, you will then have the perfect title.
You will want to make sure you let the reader know what is in it for them. You should convey the benefit of what your article will deliver them. For example, you can say, "Tips to promote your blog and make more money online." This is a much more compelling blog title.
There you have it, three easy tips that should help improve your blog.

[22] 16 Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Blog

You've got your blog set up and you've started posting pithy, useful information that your niche market would benefit from and enjoy. Days go by, you keep publishing, but no one comments and your traffic stats are barely registering. What do you do?
Like any website you own, you must do some blog promotion to start driving traffic to your site. Here are 16 steps, in no particular order of importance, that you can start doing now to get traffic moving to your blog.
1. Set up a Bloglet subscription form on your blog and invite everyone in your network to subscribe: family, friends, colleagues, clients, associates.
2. Set up a feed on MyYahoo.com so your site gets regularly spidered by the Yahoo search engine (see tutorial on http://www.biztipsblog.com)
http://www.my.yahoo.com
3. Read and comment on other blogs that are in your target niche. Don't write things like "nice blog" or "great post." Write intelligent, useful comments with a link to your blog.
4. Use Ping-0-matic to ping blog directories. Do this every time you publish.
http://www.pingomatic.com
5. Submit your blog to traditional search engines:http://www.submitfire.com
6. Submit your blog to blog directories. The most comprehensive list of directories is on this site:
http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55/
Tip: Create a form to track your submissions; this can take several hours when you first start so schedule an hour a day for submitting or hire a VA to do it for you.
7. Add a link to your blog in your email signature file.
8. Put a link to your blog on every page of your website.
9. If you publish a newsletter, make sure you have a link to your blog in every issue.
10. Include a link to your blog as a standard part of all outgoing correspondence such as autoresponder sequences, sales letters, reports, white papers, etc.
11. Print your blog URL on your business cards, brochures and flyers.
12. Make sure you have an RSS feed URL that people can subscribe to.The acronym RSS means Rich Site Summary, or some may consider its meaning as Really Simple Syndication. It is a document type that lists updates of websites or blogs available for syndication. These RSS documents (also known as 'feeds') may be read using aggregators (news readers). RSS feeds may show headlines only or both headlines and summaries.
To learn how news aggregators/RSS readers work, see this site: http://www.rss-specifications.com/rss-readers.htm
13. Post often to keep attracting your subscribers to come back and refer you to others in their networks; include links to other blogs, articles and websites in your posts
14. Use Trackback links when you quote or refer to other blog posts. What is TrackBack? Essentially what this does is send a message from one server to another server letting it know you have posted a reference to their post. The beauty is that a link to your blog is now included on their site.
15. Write articles to post around the web in article directories. Include a link to your blog in the author info box (See example in our signature below).
16. Make a commitment to blog everyday. 10 minutes a day can help increase your traffic as new content attracts search engine spiders. Put it on your calendar as a task every day at the same time.
Tip: Use a hit counter to track your visitor stats: how many unique visitors, how many page views, average length of visit. You can get a free hit counter at http://www.sitemeter.com

[19] How to Write a Blog

The Internet is rife with blogs (short for a web log) on every topic under the sun. From personal journal-type sites to music-review sites to fashion-criticism to political-commentary and everything between, you can find blogs on any subject you can think of. Why are so many people blogging?Blogging has gained immense popularity in the last couple of years, and thousands of new blogs are created each month. But why? Well, as technology evolves, so do we. The beauty of the Internet is not only the wealth of information it provides, but also the connectivity the access to the thoughts, feelings, opinions, pictures and videos of other people across the globe. Maybe it's because we're naturally voyeuristic, or maybe it's the innate human need to have a sense of community (we are social creatures, after all), but whatever the reason, blogging is wildly popular, and probably not going anywhere. In fact, as the news media declines in these tough economic times, bloggers are gaining more and more power in terms of taking on the role of opinion makers. Why should you blog?Blogging has a great number of benefits in fact, there are probably as many reasons to blog as there are types of blogs. Many people use blogs as an extension of their careers their blogs are forums by which their employees and/or clients can contact them and keep up with what's happening day to day. For others, a blog is an outlet for creativity. Writers, cooks, musicians, and designers are just a few of the types of people who can use a blog to share their passion with the world by posting poems, recipes, songs, general observations, event dates, photos and new projects. Some people use blogs simply to increase their web site ranking in the search engines, as regular updates help keep web sites relevant. And some people just want someone to talk to, so they talk to everyone via a personal-journal-type blog. Where can you get a blog? There a lots of free blogging sites to help you set up a blog and get started. Blogspot is a very simple one to use, and you can get set up and going in just a few minutes. But don't be fooled, just because everyone and their dog seems to have a blog these days doesn't mean blogging is easy. Successful blogs are relevant, topical, and regularly updated. How do you get started? If you want to start a blog, the most important thing to do is to choose a theme: what is your blog going to be about? Writing, painting, cooking, fashion, politics, sports? Try to narrow your focus to make creating content easier, a blog that's not narrowly-enough defined can cause problems when it's time to come up with something specific to write about. The most effective blogs tend to be those that are very specific in their subject matter, so don't just pick a topic, pick a niche within a topic. For example, if you're a trend-watcher, pick a specific area to focus on: new trends as seen where you live, for example. Or instead of starting a blog about sports, focus on one sport, or one state's various sport teams, or even just one team. The more narrowly you focus your topic, the easier it is to overcome writers block down the road, and to ultimately make your blog successful (that is, getting people, besides your mom, your co-workers and your spouse, to read it).Article Source: http://www.ArticleStreet.com

[18] The Essentials of Blog Posting

Blogging has probably been the most fun internet marketing activity I've undertaken in my online business. I love to write, and reach out to my website visitors with new information, news, reports, opinions, or articles that I've created that expose a little of my personality and give my readers something they want to hear. Not only is it fun, but it's free, profitable, and generates hoards of traffic to your site, provided that you make quality posts with quality content and know how to market your blog. There are good ways and bad ways to blog, so here are a few essential things to keep in mind when making your blog posts:First you have to write something that people will be interested in reading, and reading regularly. Posting your articles to your blog is the best way to get quality content on your blog, but it's also good to write about your own personal experiences and opinions. Your articles should be at least 500 words, and your personal comments can be shorter, but still containing quality content. You don't want to post just one fantastic article packed with content, you want to post many, and try to make a blog post every day, every other day, or even weekly so that your readers know that your blog is fresh and updated regularly. The first few months that your blog is launched are critical months when you want to attract a readership and give them enough that they bookmark your site to come back to it frequently. Giving your blog a domain name that's easy for them to remember and represents your content with good keywords is also a good idea. There's another thing you can do with your original articles to gain exposure to your blog, and that is submitting them to a blog carnival. This means submitting them to a site that features and summarizes maybe 5 quality articles on a specific topic. Other blogs will link back to this carnival host, giving you more quality traffic. Also, when you make a blog post, you can link to other people's blog articles, which leaves an entry on their post to your post. It may attract other bloggers to you, who may in turn link back to your posts. A good article directory to submit your articles to maybe once a week is Ezine Articles.Once you have a blog, you want to expose it to the right audience. A good way to do this is by making comments on other people's blogs whose content is related to your content. If you randomly post comments all over the place on blogs unrelated to what your site is about, then you won't generate the kind of traffic you want. Stick to your niche, and you will get readers from that niche wanting to click on your blog link at the end of your comments. It's also a good idea to encourage people to make comments on your blog posts, and to reply to these comments to keep a conversation going. The more comments that are left on your blog, the more other people visiting your blog will realize you have something important and valuable to say, and they will want to read it to find out what all the buzz is about.I have also joined a blog traffic exchange to get traffic to my blog, but you can also submit your blog to different blog directory sites, such as Blog Top Sites. This site allows you to add a small bit of HTML code to your blog so it can be rated in a particular category and will help get you more traffic and better ratings. If you remember to not only create quality content for your blogs, but also market your blog effectively by commenting, linking, and submitting regularly to the right places, you will be on your way to having a popular and well-visited blog!Article Source: http://www.ArticleStreet.com/

[17] Business Networking And Blog Courtesy-working On A Professional Link Campaign For Blog SEO

Business is all about networking, right? Plus, you likely know that you need to get some links to your website to build traffic. Since you’re a pro blogger, of course the first place you look for those much needed links is the blogosphere. However, some manners are in order when it comes to posting comments and linking to your blog from other blogs. It comes down to common courtesy. We’ve all heard the ‘golden rule’, right? Do unto others and all that jazz? The goal is for us to get a much needed backlink to our website, that’s true. But that’s not all we want. Spammy backlinks can be obtained pretty easily. There’s even software out there that will blast your links to a million different blog posts comment areas. But it’s not really what we want or need.I’ll tell you one reason why. Before even thinking about the other guy’s blog, and common courtesy, let’s consider your overall professional appearance. Think of your backlink campaign as one big press release for a minute. If you were blasting a press release to the major news networks today, you would want to present a super professional appearance right? You would want the world to see you as the undisputed expert in your field, professional, classy, the very best. Right? Then why would you use a different approach and spam your link across the blogosphere? Making you and your website (translate: your company) look cheesy and unprofessional? If you knew that was the way the world perceived you and your business, you probably would have thought twice about it before you used a link blaster and posted your link to a million spam blogs. The problem is that many businesses and many bloggers don’t think the internet is part of ‘the real world’. They don’t stop and think about the fact that their actions on the web can have the same negative impact that they would have in the real world when it comes to cheesy and sleezy promotion tactics.Nope, the internet is different in their eyes. They only know they need a bunch of links. It’s not important to them to build an overall web persona. PR is not a concern. But it should be. Because the web is no different than any other advertising medium. People are people, and if they read crappy comments that make you and your company look bad, they are not going to do business with you. Now, let’s also consider the other blogs out there and some basic manners. In the real world, that is the one that doesn’t have a keyboard attached to it, you need to have some etiquette when it comes to business networking, right? For example, if you are a member of the local rotary club, you don’t walk into the meeting each week shouting, “Make $5,000 every day using my secret methods”!Do you?No. You network. You shake everyone’s hand and say hello. You get into conversations and have intelligent discussions. You add something to the group as a whole. When asked, you give your expert advice and opinions and you build new relationships that turn into new client relationships. So why would you do it any differently online? When working on links from other blogs and other business communities, have the same manners you would if you were in that rotary club meeting. Be a contributing part of the conversation. Get involved and work on your professional appearance at the same time. Post relevant comments to the current discussion. Don’t interrupt like a thirty second commercial break, changing the topic so that you can promote your new product or service. Stay on topic and contribute something useful. It’s o.k. if you don’t agree with someone. Good debate can be good for business. Some people will agree with you and visit your site based on your professional opinions. But only if your argument is written professionally and with some class. Stay out of name calling sessions and stay away from labels. Don’t call anyone an idiot or a moron. In the end, you end up looking like one.Your comments are mini press releases. They are little road signs showing how professional you are. Or how unprofessional you are. Your public appearance is up to you. So have some courtesy when posting your comments. It will make the difference when it comes to how successful your linking campaigns are.Published At: Isnare Free Articles Directory http://www.isnare.comPermanent Link: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=275803&ca=Business
